Welcome!

Welcome! We are pleased that you are interested in conducting an Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) study. We have created this Informational Guide to assist investigators throughout the entire IIR process. We seek to advance the delivery of quality medical care and make a difference in patient's lives by supporting appropriate scientific research that contributes to the understanding and treatment of specific disease states. Certain resources (i.e. funding and study drug) may be available to investigators who are interested in conducting an approved investigator initiated research study. We may support IIR studies that relate to one of the following:

     • Gastroenterology
          - Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
               · Adult
               · Pediatric
               · Special patient populations
               · Extraesophageal GERD manifestations
          - Barrett's Esophagus (BE)
          - Gastric and Peptic Ulcer Disease
          - Gastroprotection
          - Helicobacter pylori
     • Hyperuricemia
          - Gout

Please be aware that support is awarded strictly based on research merit criteria. We are in support of a study in no way implies any obligation toward or is any way connected to the recommendation or prescribing of products.

IIR Vision
  • IIR supports robust scientific research that helps us answer pertinent questions about its products and therapeutic areas of focus.
  • IIR activities are conducted using an efficient and systematic process that is understandable and easy to execute by all involved.
  • Investigators who collaborate with us to conduct IIR studies are accountable for meeting agreed upon goals and working toward the end result of manuscript development
IIR Mission
 Is to:
  • Foster scientific exchange through clinical research collaborations by:
    • Uncovering emerging research trends and fulfill unmet needs for new scientific data to help advance knowledge of a specified therapeutic area
    • Exploring the feasibility and viability of new scientific ideas of interest (often pilot/hypothesis-generating studies
